Back to Blogging

Tomorrow is my first day teaching at 8:30am in a long time and I should be in bed. Instead, I have decided, in classic ADHD fashion, that I need to set up a blog. In 2026.

Over a year ago I signed up for a ghost account, and I could spend a lot more time working through setting up a newsletter and figuring out recruitment and going through all of the settings. I figure though, if I haven’t done it in the last year, I probably won’t. And anyway, I am not and cannot be a full time writer, so making people sign up to want to hear from me feels like making promises I can’t keep.

I do, however, have lots of varied interests and expertise, and a recently published book, and the occasional viral skeet (yes, that’s what they are called and the fight was had, it’s too late). So, sometimes instead of a long thread of tangentially connected thoughts on bluesky, or maybe in addition to, I am going to try to get some cohesive thoughts down here.

If you are interested in progressive education policy, school integration, parenting insights or failures (especially regarding multiracial, queer, ADHD, and/or diabetic tweens), vegetarian cooking, community organizing, cultural theory, and the occasional update on the three romantic comedies my head wants me to write, then you have come to the right place.

I make no promises to consistency, but I will aim for quality.
